Interview With Comanche Clean Energy’s Tom Cauchois

Comanche's Tom Cauchois discusses the Brazil ethanol market and his company's vertically integrated model. Comanche Clean Energy is a Brazilian-based biofuels producer which is in the process of registration to trade on the over-the-counter bulletin board. The Company recently announced the closing of an $85 million round of financing led by Imperial Capital and lead investors by UBS and Luxor. It currently operates two ethanol facilities which produced about 64 million liters of ethanol in 2007 and are expected to produce about 148 million liters of ethanol in 2008. It also operates a biodiesl facility that produced about 25 million liters of biodiesel in 2007 and is expected to produce about 60 million liters of biodiesel in 2008.
