Dais’ patented polymer technology underpins the following applications:
· Energy: ConsERV & NanoAir - ConsERV is used to improve ventilation air efficiency by as much as 57%, introducing fresher air, and reducing carbon emission footprint by as much as 50%; NanoAir (in development) is an industry changing heating/cooling/refrigeration process using no refrigerants and 40% less energy. Markets include HVAC and any refrigeration based product such as grocery coolers.
ConsERV clients include Walgreen, WalMart, Coca-Cola, Florida Power & Light, Tennessee Valley Authority, Subway, Pall Corp., 43 of 67 Florida school districts, MicroMtl (OEM, makes ERV product for Carrier), Thybar (OEM, makes ERV product for Trane).
· Water Treatment/Cleaning: NanoClear - commercializing breakthrough technology cleaning water to parts-per-billion level, non-fouling & simple process.
· Energy Storage (in development): NanoCap - developing breakthrough technology to replace traditional energy storage products, delivering improved power delivery for consumer electronics as well as smart grid transmission, and renewable energy storage. In addition to using direct and independent representative sales for ConsERV throughout North America, Dais is working to create license/supply arrangements for ConsERV (and its other applications in various stages of development) to strategic partners worldwide.
Intellectual Property: Dais owns the rights to seven U.S. patents, five pending U.S. patent applications, and one Patent Cooperation Treaty (“PCT”) application.
Dais has provisional and patent applications in the following areas: Advanced Polymer Synthesis Processes, Reversible Liquid to Air Enthalpy Core Applications and Construction, Nanoparticle Ultra Capacitor and Water Treatment and Desalination.
Highlights· On August 21, 2009, entered into an Exclusive Distribution Agreement with Genertec America, to grant Genertec the exclusive right to obtain, distribute and market three of our nanotechnology-based membrane products and related products in Greater China, including mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. The agreement provides that during the initial term of the Agreement, Genertec agreed to order and purchase the Company’s products in the aggregate amount of Two Hundred Million U.S. Dollars ($200,000,000).
· In April 2010, entered into a technical and sales agreement with CAST Systems Control Technology Co., Ltd. and Genertec America, Inc. with a value of up to approximately $48 million over a twelve month period. Under the terms of the agreement, we will supply to CAST, through Gentertec, key system components of our nanotechnology clean water process.
